Water is 800 times more dense than air. In other words, in the water, good, efficient technique is far more important than fitness.
Swimming technique is the way you hold your body while you are in the water.

feet (Pointing Your Toes), Ankle Flexibility & Timing.
Proper Streamlined body position - arm movement, head position, catch and relaxation.
